The club provides for a wide variety of swimming activities ranging from teaching children and adults to swim (it's never too late to learn), competitive swimming through age group individual and team competition, to open water long distance swimming, masters swimming, life saving and water polo. We celebrated our Centenary Year in 1993 with many activities the highlight for many being the club trip to Scarborough in Toronto Canada where we were entertained most hospitably by the Scarborough Olympian Swimming Club of Toronto. For many years our club has had strong links with swimming clubs in Europe, Scarboroughs twin town in Germany, Osterode, and most notably Vlaardingen (VZC) in Holland with whom we have had many exchange visits since 1975.
